(X-tra Years of Zest)
This group is made up of older (but young at heart) people who enjoy having Christian fellowship and fun! Some of the things we do each month include eating a good meal, playing board games, 42, card games, etc.
But we also have special events and activities. Through the years we’ve ridden on the Forest City Queen Riverboat in Rockford; attended a dinner theater at White Pines State Park; eaten at various restaurants; toured museums, ate breakfast at the German Valley Park; attended plays at Timberlake Playhouse; watched the Rockford Ski Broncs Ski Show to name a few.
We also have meals at Silver Creek church including a yearly delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The XYZ Committee takes care of the planning, preparations and yearly schedules. For those who prefer not to drive, we car pool to out of town activities.
Our group is made up of people from German Valley and area communities. We are always eager to have new people join our group which meets the second Thursday of each month. You can find more specific information about the next event on our website at the following link:
